Nest pictures

Last week I was in Belogradchik and I've managed to find some nests. Most of them were Blackbird and Song thrush , but I also found Hawfinch nest with 3 eggs inside. Here are the pictures I hope that they are interesting and maybe useful.

Magpie pictures

A friend of mine sent me some pictures of Magpie . The pictures are made in Sofia. The population of magpies here is very large.So enjoy them :)

Saturday walk

Yesterday I went to Veshtica and set up my mist nets. But there was very strong wind this morning and I've decided that there is no point of trying to ring something. I gathered the nets and took a little walk.

More partridges

Yesterday the partridges were near UNWE again. This time we managed to make closer pictures of them until they run away . The birds were 11. Here are the pictures  of the partridges and one Blackbird.

Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) feeding near UNWE

Today after lectures me and one of my friend saw a Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris). The bird was searching for food on the ground near the university.

Perdix perdix in Sofia

Yesterday while I was in the university I saw flock of partridges. One of my friend took a picture of them. The picture is from big distance but you can see the bird walking in the snow. I'm sure that the hunger lead them in the city.
